When you earn credentials through the program's Worker Certification System, you're granted nationwide industry recognition for your skills and experience. And because your skills will be assessed against National Occupational Standards, the Canadian Mining Credentials Program gives you the flexibility to pursue employment opportunities at different mines in provinces and territories throughout the country—dramatically improving your career prospects and accelerating your career progress.

The program defines job requirements and ensures workers have specific competencies on health and safety, thereby helping create safer working conditions for all mine workers.
